Abstract

Human life is a most important asset and life insurance is the most important type of insurance which provides financial protection to a person and his family at the time of uncertain risks or damage. Life insurance provides both safety and protection to individuals and also encourages savings among people. Life insurance is an agreement between the client and the insurance company in which the policy holder accepts to pay regular premium to the insurance company. In return, the insurance company guarantees monetary protection to the insured (client) in case of any accident or mishaps. The objective of the study is to understand the policyholder’s satisfaction and the various factors contributing to the satisfaction level. The primary data has been collected by using the interview schedule and secondary data has been collected from journals, newspapers and the internet. The study area was limited to Erode District. The main reason behind this study is to analyses the factors that determine the satisfaction of the clients on life insurance.
