Abstract

A strong network Aof post offices in urban as well as rural areas, postal life insurance was set to succeed. Also, the cost expected to be incurred for operations came d o w n d r a st i c a l l y because of use of existing network of post
offices. Currently, Postal life insurance is the only insurance provider in the country to give the h i g h e st re t u r n t o customers at the lowest premium amount. The
postal Life Insurance scheme is aimed to provide insurance to individuals working in all gov e rnment sector
enterprises including m i l i t a r y f o r c e s government school employees, nationalized banks, local civic bodies
etc. The presented paper depicts the level of awarenessand satisfaction about the policyholders of Postal Life Insurance schemes in Coimbatore district.
