A Digital Kiosk-Based Framework for Standardized Psychological Assessment

The increasing demand for structured and standardized psychological assessment has
highlighted the need for digital systems that support clinical workflows without introducing
automated interpretation or diagnostic bias. This paper presents a non-interpretive, multi-scale
digital framework designed for the administration and organization of standardized
psychological scales within clinical environments. The proposed system focuses on structured
data collection, domain-wise scale categorization, and severity-based representation, while
deliberately excluding diagnostic inference and treatment recommendations.The framework is
implemented as a kiosk-based platform to ensure consistent administration, minimize clinician
workload, and reduce variability in manual assessment processes. Over eighty-five
standardized psychological scales are integrated and organized across multiple psychological
domains, including mood, anxiety, stress, trauma, personality, cognition, and behavioral
regulation. A modular system architecture enables scale digitization, response validation,
severity band classification, and secure report generation, while maintaining strict ethical and
clinical boundaries.
The system emphasizes transparency, data privacy, and professional authority by
ensuring that all outputs are presented as non-diagnostic informational summaries intended
solely to assist qualified mental health professionals. By prioritizing ethical safeguards and
non-interpretive design principles, the proposed framework demonstrates how digital
technologies can enhance psychological assessment workflows without replacing or
influencing clinical judgment.
