Abstract

The present work focuses the study of corrosion inhibition efficiency of gum exudate obtained from the bark of
Moringa oleifera (MO). The specimens used were mild steel coupons (MS) of specific dimensions and practical
studies were carried out by using mass loss method in acidic medium . The results showed good trend in inhibition
efficiency which indicated that as concentration of the inhibitor was raised percentage of inhibition efficiency too
improved but declined with rise in temperature. The adsorption took place by physical adsorption of molecules on
MS surface. Thermodynamic parameters were obtained and adsorption complies with Langmuir adsorption
isotherm.
