Abstract

This paper deals with the Analogic revelation of man’s condition in the modern
world.
The structure of The Sound and The Fury is very complex. Faulkner has begun his novel with
the puzzle to unravel rather than a narrative exposition of the general situation out of which
the narrative of the novel is to develop. The other structural system is based on Freud. Benjy
is the Id, Quentin the Ego, Jason the Super – Ego. Candace a sort of Libido, Dilsey the warm
loving nature, perhaps the integrated personality are well portrayed
