Abstract

This research article investigates the financial impact of Artificial Intelli
gence (AI) adoption on Axis Bank, the third-largest private bank in India, utilizing
the CAMELS framework. Analyzing six key performance metrics over a six
year period, the study reveals significant improvements post-AI implementation,
including enhancedcapitaladequacy,assetquality,managementefficiency,andearn
ings management. The paired samples t-test supports these findings, highlighting
statistically significant changes in specific ratios. The study contributes to under
standing the evolving landscape of AI in the banking sector, emphasizing its role in
reshaping financial performance and risk management practices.
